Nigeria Union of Journalists,NUJ,Imo State Council have during their monthly Congress appointed Comrade Victor Madumere as Committee Chairman of this year press week an annual ritual of the Union.
In his acceptance speech, Madumere on behalf of the members of the committee pledged total commitment of ensuring that the committee deliver on the mandate given to them.
He said that this year event is going to be spectacular as various activities are already in the pipeline in marking the epoch making event.
The committee chairman used the moment to enjoin members of the committee to dedicate their time and energy to ensure that the outing will be a memorable one.
Madumere remarked that the event will also be an avenue of bringing all members back in one umbrella.
The event is going to feature many dignitaries who have excelled in their respective professions including Journalists who through their engagements in the media profession have created positive view of the noble profession.
It will also feature seminars and workshops for members of the Union including upcoming Journalists.
Members are expected to deeply involve in all activities.
