-Shortlists 45 Candidates For Final Entrance Exams
Valentino Foundation initiated by the Chief Executive Officer of Valentino Da Vinci Nigeria Ltd, Chief Valentino Ugbala, has concluded plans for the 2024/2025 scholarship scheme that is targeted at offsetting the educational expenses of brilliant young youths who are interested in acquiring university education but lack the finances to actualize their dreams.
Chief Ugbala, an international businessman, in a letter dated September, 19, 2024, he addressed to the Presidents General of the three component communities in Okporo, Orlu, said, “recall that on the 11th day of January 2024, we wrote a letter to the three (3) Autonomous Communities in Okporo through your office and all the Churches in Okporo on our intention to continue this our Scholarship programme requesting you, the Community and the Churches to Nominate and forward to us Interested Students from various Communities in Okporo, in Orlu, Imo State and its environs who wish to further their Studies into the Universities but cannot afford to pay for their School Fees.
Already,205 students have been shortlisted for the entrance exams which will take place in a later day.
This Programme is a continues yearly Programme. This initiative which is a humanitarian service is part of our corporate social Responsibility and my humble Contribution to the Development of Education and Empowering the youths in Okporo Father Land, Imo State and Nigeria in General”.
Commenting on his foundation gesture, the Chief Executive Officer of Valentino Nigeria Ltd, Chief Valentino Ugbala, (Ikukwoma) an acclaimed international business man said, “we do this annually because see it as a way of appreciating God and paying back to the society what God has done for me as a person and for my company as a corporate entity.
After the qualifying examination that will be conducted at Central School , II Okporo on September, 29 , 2024 by seasoned academics most of who are Professors in different fields, including Prof Akah, Prof Onyeka, Prof Ukaoba, Prof Otiwu and Hon Mrs Ukagba, the successful one will be sponsored into different federal and state universities.
Those who were not short-listed for one reason or the other, will be empowered through our skill acquisition programme. That way nobody who participated from the onset will be a loser.
