Eventually all the communities in Oguta Local Government Area are currently happy following the emergence of the former Sole Administrator of the Council,Hon. Ifeanyi Nnani as the Chairmanship flagbearer of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC in the forthcoming Imo State Local Governments elections.
This newspaper learnt that reasons for Hon. Nnani”s emergence during APC primary elections of 3rd September,2024 were not far-fetched from his grassroot-oriented politics and selfless leadership during his reign as the Sole Administrator of Oguta LGA.
Chief Solomon Ajokubi who spoke to newsmen on Wednesday at Oguta Ameshi praised the Executive Governor of Imo State,His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma,Imo State APC Chairman, MacDonald Ebere(PhD), Oguta stakeholders and Party faithful for they have carefully looked inward and chose the best among the best,Hon. Ifeanyi Nnani to bear the Party flag come 21st September,2024 Imo Councils elections.
He revealed that Nnani remains the only person among those who contested Oguta chairmanship primary election that has capacities to unite the oil rich region, recalling how he restored peace in Ejemekwuru,Egbuoma among other communities during his reign as SOLAD of Oguta LGA.
“We are happy with the emergence Hon. Ifeanyi Nnani as the APC Chairmanship flagbearer. And we are going to vote for him come September 21st,2024”,he promised.
Another stakeholder, Chief Leo Ogbuagu expressed happiness over the candidature of Nnani, noting that he will be massively voted across party-line in the forthcoming Imo State Local Governments elections.
“Nnani has no political enemy, and he is a selfless leader”,he maintained.
Meanwhile,some of the APC Chairmanship aspirants who contested with him during the just concluded primary election have started congratulating him as one of the top Chairmanship former Aspirants,Hon.Williams Ezeikpe Ejiakor had earlier sent Newspaper congratulatory message to Hon. Ifeanyi Nnani where he commended Hon. Eugene Dibiagwu and Bishop Gideon Nwaeze for power roles they played in ensuring a peaceful exercise.
