As preparations for the election of a new executive that will pilot the affairs of the youths of Iriamogu, Ihiagwa, in Owerri West Local Government Area, scheduled to hold on Saturday, September, 27, 2024 have reached a boiling point, some well meaning indigenes of the community, have thrown their weight behind Comrade Ugochukwu Aharanwa, who they described as the peoples’ choice because of his antecedents and leadership qualities.
According to community sources, they are rooting for Ugochukwu Aharanwa because aside being the most qualified in terms of integrity, transparency, honesty and accountability, he is quite different from some of those whose main interest is to loot and siphon the community’s funds without offering commensurate service.
When contacted, Comrade Aharanwa said, he is in the race to champion and actualize the collective dream of the youths and set a standard in youth leadership, pointing out that he has a name to protect and a legacy to set. Hence, he is poised to sanitize the system, block all loopholes through which funds are siphoned and ensure that it will no longer be business as usual for criminals and fraudulent and lawless persons.
He urged the youths to come out enmasse and vote for him, assuring them that he will run a responsive and responsible administration, if elected.
