Some aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who lost out in the primaries ahead of the local government election, have accused some relatives of Governor Hope Uzodinma of not fulfilling their promise after allegedly collecting money from them

This is coming on the heels of a contentious list of successful candidates, circulated on the social media.

Reports suggest that some aspirants who approached some relatives of the Governor and close aides with the assurance of emerging as Councillorship or Chairmanship are irked that after all the assurances their names were not among the winners of the primaries.

This development, according to a source in the political circle, is causing problems within the Governor’s camp, as those aspirants are planning a protest march to get the Governor’s attention.

“One of the Governor’s relatives is accusing a certain Commissioner for Rural Affairs/Development of tampering with the names he sent to the Governor, a development that is causing panic within the Government house.

Baring any meaningful intervention, those aspirants,  most of whom are demanding for refund or redress, may take to the streets to press home their grievances.

This newspaper earlier reported that there was a swirling crisis in the All Progressives Congress, over the primary election in the state.
