As preparations for the September, 21, 2024, Local Government elections in Imo State, gathers momentum, with attendant alignments and realignments, leaders, stakeholders and political gladiators in Umuduru Egbeaguru, Onuimo Local Government Area, have unanimously endorsed Chief Harrison Ejianya, as Sole Candidate for the Chairmanship of Onuimo Local Government Area.
This is contained in a communiqué jointly signed by Engr Tochukwu Nwosu, President, Umuduru Egbeaguru Elites, Chief Ferdinand Madu, Omere-oha I, Umuduru, Rt Hon Chinedu Offor, former Speaker, Imo State House of Assembly, Chief Robert Asuzu, (Igwu gwu Chere-Mba 1of Umuduru and Chief Ejike Okeke, (Okemiri), Ofeahia autonomous community, Engr. Fidelis Odinaka Ezeh, Umuanumeze autonomous community, Barr. Felix Alaneme, Aboh Ndi-Ikpa autonomous community, Barr. Chinedu Elechukwu, Okohia autonomous community, Mr. Emmanuel Ezealor, Okpuala Aboh autonomous community, Mr. Festus Nwadike (Alhaji), Umuduru Egbeaguru autonomous community, Mr. Henry C. Iloanya, Youth President, Umuduru Egbeaguru community.
The communiqué, reads, “As Imo state prepares for the upcoming Local Government Elections come September 2024, it’s no news that several aspirants from the Four (4) Clans of Onuimo LGA have indicated interest in running for the office of the Council Chairman, among whom is Chief Harrison Ejianya, aka Afo-ime”.
This is to officially announce to Ndi Onuimo that after a careful interview and scrutiny of the pedigree of the aspirants in the race, Chief Harrison Ejianya comes tops and is the best with a proven track record of selflessness, competence, Character and capacity. Above all Chief Harrison Ejianya is a youth-friendly personality and compassionate leader. Hence, the best amongst the rest in this race.
Considering the above, the entire Umuduru Egbeaguru community has unanimously decided to support Chief Harrison Ejianya as the sole candidate of the community. We advise every other aspirant and appeal to Ndi Onuimo to join hands and enthrone Chief Harrison Ejianya as the next Chairman of Onuimo LGA, we strongly believe in his capability and trust that a New Onuimo LGA is here under his watch”.
