– Appeals To Protesters To Consider National Interest And End The Protests
Prince Alex Mbata, a politician and successful businessman, who contested the Owerri zone Senatorial election on the platform of the All Progressive Congress APC, in the 2023 election, has called for an end to the on-going national protests, on the ground that President Ahmed Bola Tinubu has heard the lamentations of Nigerians, especially, those protesting against bad governance, hunger and other attendant challenges that have dealt seriously with the people.
Mbata, who commended the President, for his visionary leadership, that has made him step on toes because of the reforms initiated for the good of Nigerians who will in no distant time reap the benefits.
The business mogul, in a release he signed and made available to newsmen, reminded Nigerians of the need to ensure patriotism in the protests. He said nothing is worth destroying the country and regretted the ugly and sad turns of events in many areas where the protests were hijacked by unpatriotic elements which resulted in the looting of private and public property as well as losses of lives. He reminded the people that national building is not a day’s job because it requires collective and patriotic participations and collaborations by every citizen.
He maintained that hard times are not forever and what is really needed is the patriotism on the parts of the leadership and followership to ensure a great nation.
He appealed to all to give the President the needed support to turn around the socioeconomic fortunes of the nation stressing that President Tinubu has the knowledge, experience and competence to do the needful. He opined that the President has been trying to navigate the rocky landscapes he inherited and with collective determination and resolves, a new secured and prosperous nation is possible under his leadership.Prince Dr Mbata appealed to the protesters to take a breath, leave the streets and watch the President implement the national rescue measures he has articulated, stressing that without peace no nation can make any meaningful strides in her developmental aspirations.
