Following recent developments, the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Imo State Council, will on Monday, September, 2, 2024, hold an emergency Congress to discuss issues that concern the welfare of members and the several court cases that the union is involved in, among other important issues.
The union, in a release signed by the Secretary, Ori Martin, said the emergency congress is mandatory for all members, as crucial issues will be discussed.
The congress was earlier scheduled to hold on Friday, August, 30, but was later postponed to enable members go to Ideato and commiserate with their member, Victor Madumere, whose brother was buried on Friday.
