… As Son Appreciates Imo Speaker, Ihezuo, Others For The Honour
Wednesday, the Imo State House Of Assembly held a Valedictory Session In honour of Hon. Prince (Dr.) Steve Orji, JP( Okeosisi)who passed on at the age of 68 years.
Speaking during the Valedictory Session, the Speaker, Rt Hon. Chike Olemgbe said that late Steve Orji was elected into the Imo State House Of Assembly in 1999 to represent the people of Orlu State Constituency.
Rt. Hon Olemgbe noted that late Orji was also the Majority Chief Whip and Sponsored so many bills and moved and supported many motions.
Also Speaking the member representing Orlu state Constituency, Hon. Barrister Martin Ikenna Ihezuo pointed out that the deceased used his position to attract lots of developmental projects in Orlu between 1999 and 2003.
Hon Ihezuo further said, that late Orji contributed a lot towards the development of the state while in the House and prayed God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the lost.
Rt.Hon.Nnaemeka Maduagwu, a former speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly (IMHA) described late Orji as a man of courage and a man of action, even as he urged his children to emulate the footsteps of their father.
In an interview with the Imo State House of Assembly correspondents, the first son of the deceased, Prince Ibuchukwu Orji thanked the members of the Imo State House of Assembly and the former members of the House of the Assembly who attended the event for the honour given to his late father, Hon. Prince (Dr.) Steve Orji, JP (Okeosisi).
He further thanked relatives, friends and well wisher who out of their schedule still found time to attend the Valecdatory session in honour of their father.
Prince Ibuchukwu, further informed that,the burial of their father remains Friday July 26, 2024 at Ubaha Umuagi Umu – Umuehihe Ihioma Community in Orlu LGA, pointing out that the reception of sympathizers and condolence visits take place thereafter.
