Imo-born economist and boardroom heavyweight, Dr. Ebere Uneze, has celebrated with the Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, on her 70th birthday.
In a message he personally sent to the WTO DG, Dr Uneze said, “As you celebrate this remarkable milestone, we are reminded of your incredible contributions to the world. Your leadership, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to economic development and global health have inspired many. Your journey is a testament to the power of resilience, vision, and courage. May this special day bring you immense joy, and may the years ahead continue to be filled with success, health, and happiness. Thank you for your invaluable service and for being a beacon of hope and strength for us all,” he said.
Dr Uneze who was an Executive Director at Asset Management Corporation (AMCON) and currently the Founder of Clyde Frontiers, further described Dr. Okonjo-Iweala as “a true story of grit, excellence, wisdom, resilience, and brilliance.”
Dr. Uneze, who clocked 50 years just a few days ago, said he is proud to be associated with the world-renowned economist whom he worked for at the Centre for the Study of the Economies of Africa – a policy think-tank of the WTO DG.
In his final eulogy, the brilliant boardroom tactician further appreciated the celebrant for her “invaluable advice and guidance over the past years”
