Veteran journalist and rights activist, Comrade Ifeanyi Okponwa Eze, has come out in strong support of Hon. Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere Ikeagwuonu, the House of Representatives (HOR) Legislator from Ideato.
In a passionate tribute, Eze highlighted the remarkable achievements of Hon. Ugochinyere and warned against attempts to undermine his mission.
Eze drew parallels between Hon. Ugochinyere and the Biblical Star, emphasizing that those who seek to pull him down are merely fighting against God’s anointed.
He noted that the attacks on Hon. Ugochinyere are not limited to Ideato but are also driven by the interests of external forces who are threatened by his rising political profile.
Eze praised Hon. Ugochinyere for his numerous achievements, which have dwarfed those of his predecessors. He emphasized that the representative’s popularity and effectiveness are not limited to his legislative work but also extend to his constant engagement with the people of Ideato.
Eze warned against the attempts by some individuals to use the name of traditional rulers to further their own interests and urged the chairman of the Ideato North and South council of traditional rulers to take action against these individuals.
He concluded by predicting that Hon. Ugochinyere will become the next governor of Imo State from Ideato extraction.
