The leadership and members of Orlu Elders Council have expressed shock over the death of Chief Ejike Uche, popularly called Dimkpasaa, who, until his death was a committed member of Orlu Elders Council, led by Prof Francis Dike, former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Imo State.
Dimkpasaa, a former Commissioner for Public Utilities and later Housing and Urban Development in Imo State, was running mate to the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA in the 2023 election.
The Secretary of Orlu Elders Council, Prof Protus Uzorma, described the deceased, as a principled man, who put his all in every cause he believed in.”He has no room for pretence. Hence, he was loved and admired by all who came in contact with him. His death is a big loss to Orlu Elders Council. We pray that God gives us the fortitude to bear it.
“The Council visited him in the hospital before he died, but did not know that it was the last time they would see him” Prof Uzorma said.
