– Says, It’s Too Early To Talk About Succession
– Urges Contenders To Withdraw Pending Court Cases Against Uzodinma
Orlu Political Consultative Assembly, OPOCA, has lambasted the former Minister of Interior, Captain Emmanuel Iheanacho, for allegedly convening nocturnal meetings “that culminated in the formation of the Imo Harmony Project IHP” and the circulation of a communiqué that announced committees that were set hastily up to prepare for the 2027 election.
The group also condemned what it described as IHP’s unnecessary concern about who will succeed Governor Uzodinma barely few months into his second tenure pointing out that it is a distraction that is likely to impede the speedy and effective dispensation of the dividends of democracy by the current administration.
The National President of OPOCA Barr Rex Anunobi (Sokom) stated this yesterday while addressing a World Press Conference, alongside the National Executive of OPOCA in his residence at Owerri, the state capital.
Responding to a question, Barr Anunobi, accused Captain Ihenacho and his group of indirectly working against the Charter of Equity adding that the best thing they should do, is to advise their aggrieved friends and kinsmen to withdraw all pending court cases arising from the last governorship election in the state.
