The Imo State Council of Town Unions President-Generals led by Honorable Kingsley Chigozie Omuruka has extolled Governor Hope Uzodimma for donating over 18,000 25kg bags of rice to the 658 autonomous communities in the State.
Speaking to newsmen at Mmahu, the Headquarters of Ohaji/Egbema Council Area of Imo State during the distribution of the palliative on Friday,Omuruka who also doubles as the President-General of Obile Community and PG of the all PGs in Ohaji/Egbema thanked the State Governor, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma for extending his “olive hands” to the present hardship in the country praying God to continue protecting and guiding him throughout his tenure as the Executive Governor of Imo State and beyond.
He commended the House of Assembly member for Ohaji/Egbema,Hon. Uzoma Francis Osuoha (Eze Buguma) and Director of Administration and General Services,DAGS of the LGA for ensuring that his people were not left behind during the distribution of the palliative.
He said,”We want to seize this opportunity to thank His Excellency, Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State for his love for the President-Generals of the Town Unions of the 658 autonomous communities in the State.
“We are solidly behind our amiable Governor. Imo State Council of Town Unions President-Generals has no other option than to continue supporting the “shared prosperity of Governor Hope Uzodimma because of developmental strides on ground in our various communities.
“I’m happy that the bags of rice were shared according to the directives of the Governor.
Let me also thank my people for their disposition during the distribution of the palliative”, Omuruka stated.
Meanwhile, the bags of rice were simultaneously shared at the Headquarters of the 27 LGAs of Imo State last week Friday.
Ohaji/Egbema All Progressives Congress,APC Wards Chairmen were present during the distribution of the rice.
Others were PGs of the 20 autonomous communities in Ohaji/Egbema which include;Akam Kingsley,Nze Enyia London,Jiakponna Vitalis,Ekwueme Rex,Obodo Bathlome ,Toke Peter,Igwe Philip,Onyejiekwe Festus, Apostle Moses Ugwu, Theodore Ukpabi,Comrade G.C Ibeawuchi,Eke Chima,Adam Ogidi,Oguo Chris,Chief Ken Okwuodu,Ochasi Emeka,Sir Nick Amadi,Ikechukwu Festus and Chief Olumba M. Celestine.
