… Expresses Happiness Over Uzodimma’s Palliative
Government College Hall,Obile in Ohajj/Egbema Council Area of Imo State was filled to the brim on Saturday 20th April,2024 where elders, women and youths gathered and reaffirmed implicit confidence vote in Hon. Kingsley Chigozie Omuruka led Town Union Executives.
Those present during the meeting were the Traditional Prime Minister of Obile Autonomous Community,Nze Pele Pele,Elder Hygienus Eluma,Papa Ezekiel Ajikworo Nicholas,Chief Opara Canice,Nze Nicholas Ogbuji,Ajukwara Benedict, Elder Hillary Nwaigwe,Nze Paulinus Nwaegbu,Nze Damian Oparaji,Igwe Sunday,Onyema Oriaku, Elder Sabinus Alua,Ezenwoke Bright (Town Union P.R.O), Pastor Ogbonna Innocent(Town Union Treasurer),Ojiaku Stanley (Town Union Secretary-general),Lady Augustina Enyioha(Women Leader) among others.
The meeting kicked-off with prayer session presided by the President-General of Obile Autonomous Community Town Union,Hon. Kingsley Chigozie Omuruka who also serves as the President General of All the President-Generals of Ohaji/Egbema and PG of Imo State Council of Town Unions President-Generals and Obile Youth President, Comrade Amaechi John.
However,aforementioned stakeholders unanimously passed vote of confidence in Omuruka led Town Union recounting the achievements of the present Town Union to include attraction of secondary school, Healthcare Centre, grading access roads, renovation of market, scholarship to youths from primary to university levels through oil companies as well as bringing lasting peace in Obile Autonomous Community.
They urged members of the general public to disregard any other group (s) parading as Obile Town Union Executives as Hon. Kingsley Chigozie Omuruka leadership is still in charge of Obile Autonomous Community Town Union.
Speaking, the Town Union PG,Hon. Omuruka reiterated his commitment towards taking Obile to the next level.
He announced his intentions to train youths of Obile in welding and fitting through his company any moment from now so as to make them useful to the society.
The PG expressed loyalty to the Executive Governor of Imo State, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma and pledged total support of PGs of the 658 Autonomous Communities in the State.
According to him,”peace has come to stay in Obile. No amount of threats will stop me from protecting my community.
The “Egyptians we saw yesterday,we shall see them no more”. Therefore,I am happy to be a worthy son of Obile.
Those sponsored to come and cause confusion in Obile are my brothers.
And I believe that from today onwards,they going to turn a new leaf and work for overall good of Obile people”.
For me,I will hand over to a good crop of leaders whenever Governor Hope Uzodimma ask us to stop”.
The highpoint on the event was the distribution of Governor ‘s rice from polling booths to villages as they expressed happiness over the kind gesture .
