Eze John Nwosu KSM, Ezeidinoba Ojiudo of Okwu-Ihioma in Ihioma Autonomous Community, Orlu LGA of Imo State has expressed satisfaction at the successful Launching of The Survivor and Unveiling of Dorcas Foundation on the 24th of March, 2024.
Speaking after the occasion, the reverred Monarch stated that the historic event can only be achieved by a person who has imagination, creativity and courage to pursue such a huge feat.
He confessed that he is deeply impressed by the quality of guests and people he met at the epoch making event especially the book Reviewer, Prof. Protus Nathan Uzorma, an erudite University Don, veteran Journalist and social Critic, describing his review of the literary book as excellent.
He also commended the performance of Mrs Juliet Obiageri Okeiyi, a Gender and Women’s Rights Activist, and the Executive Director, Open Arms Initiative for Sustainable Development, who officially unveiled Dorcas Foundation for Women and Girl Child.
Applauding the efforts of the young writer, he said
“I first met Dorcas when she was undergoing her Industrial Training with The Nigeria Watchdog Newspaper, I instantly knew she will go places and she is fast justifying it.
*”Imo State has not been blessed with a female Novelist after Flora Nkiru Nwapa, the mother of Modern African Literature and the forerunner to the generation of African Women writers.*
*”In our circumstances today, for as such as Flora Nwapa was, so shall Dorcas be”.*
