..Shortlist 50 Youths For Training

The second batch of the Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere agricultural training program comprising 50 youths drawn from Ideato North and Ideato South have been shortlisted.
Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere is the House of Representatives member representing Ideato Federal Constituency who has a huge agro-investment roadmap for the people of Ideato Federal Constituency.
The successful participants will mobilize to farm in May 2024 while the first batch will demobilize on the 27th of April.
The training, which will focus on all key aspects of integrated farming system with a view to large scale farming, will last for three months.
The trainees will have the privilege of being tutored to an appreciable level of proficiency through mainly practical engagements, by professional agro-consultants, field experts and relevant development partners.
This program, which is designed to trigger an agricultural revolution following the multiplier effect of the large scale investment plans of Hon. Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere, is geared towards getting Ideato youths engaged in productive large scale farming and the federal constituency positively impacted by the huge produce that will emerge from multiple farming cycles following the completion of the training of the youths.
Speaking on the subject Ugochinyere said: “ *Any futuristic mind can see and tell that very soon in Nigeria, agriculture will be the next big thing and I dare say, it may even become the next crude oil. We do not need to wait until everyone is rushing to go to farm before we begin. My intention is that by the time the rush and scramble for agro-investment begins, my people would already be in the farm waiting for the rest of the country. God willing, by then, we will have enough to eat and even more to supply to the rest of of the country. That’s why we are planning a big investment portfolio for large scale integrated farming in Ideato Federal Constituency and these trainees are going to be the core drivers of this agro-revolution.”*
Meanwhile, all training and trainees’ expenses would be paid by Hon. Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere, which would include registration, transportation, feeding, monthly stipend among others.
