Comrade Kenkwo Kanayo Kingsley popularly called KKK, representative of Okigwe South in the Niger Delta Youth Parliament has called on Governor Hope Uzodinma to redeem without delay the promise of 4,000 oversea jobs for Imo youths who he said would be settled in Europe and Canada before the end of December, 2023.
KKK, while speaking in an exclusive interview with Nigeria Watchdog Newspaper yesterday, expressed disappointment that despite the Governor’s firm orchestrated promise which formed part of his campaign mantra ahead of the November, 11, governorship election, almost 3 months after his re-election, nothing has been said or heard about the controversial oversea job promise giving the impression that it was campaign gimmick that was a not designed to see the light of day.
“Though, we as a group took the Governor’s promise with a pinch of salt because we doubted his sincerity but as a policy statement made by the occupant of such exalted position, the onus is on Governor Hope Uzodinma to make good his promise which has the capacity to make or mar his Image and that of his administration.
Prior to Comrade Kenkwo’s comment on the Governor’s unfulfilled promise, other youth groups had also called on the Governor not to take them for granted adding that a promise especially that made without persuasion is a debt that must be paid to avoid rubbishing ones image and public rating.
