The leadership and members of Orluzurumee Youth Assembly (OYA) has expressed sadness over what it described as the painful loss of Comrade Promise Avalon, a former Student Union Government Director of Transport at the Imo State University, IMSU, Owerri.
The National President of the group Comrade Thaddeus Emejuru, in an emotion laden condolence message which he issued, described the late Avalon, a former Financial Secretary of OYA, as a dedicated, vibrant and promising leader who made valuable contributions towards making the society better.
He said, “Comrade Promise Avalon’s passion for Students, Youth and commitment to positive change leave indelible mark on all those who came in contact with him during his short but evenful earthly sojourn”.
“I on behalf of Orluzurumee Youth Assembly wish to deeply express our sadness on the tragic loss of Comr. Promise Avalon, a promising youth leader and former Financial Secretary of OYA whose life was cut short in such a heinous manner.
“As we mourn the loss of a dedicated comrade and inspiring youth leader, it is important to remember the valuable contributions that Comr. Promise Avalon made during his time with us. His relentless drive to make the world a better place and his unwavering dedication to empowering the younger generation serve as a powerful legacy that will continue to inspire us all. While his physical presence may be gone, his spirit and values live on in the hearts of those he touched.
