The labour party governorship Candidate in Imo State, Senator Athan Achonu has congratulated Hon Clinton Amadi on his inauguration as Member Representing Owerri Municipal in the State House of Assembly. He eulogised Hon Clinton for his leadership accumen, wide acceptability, humility and resilience in ensuring that his stolen mandate was recovered.
Speaking to select newsmen in a chat he said “I congratulate Hon Clinton Amadi on his inauguration as Member Representing Owerri Municipal in the Imo State House of Assembly. He is a phenomenal gentleman with strong sense of humility, massive grassroots following and intelligent. He also possesses the much needed legislative experience as a former majority leader and natural passion for service to mankind.
“His inauguration today is a testament to his doggedness, resilience and firm spirit having resisted all machinations to stop him from accessing victory at the polls. His declaration as the authentic winner in the March 18 state House of Assembly elections by both Imo State Election Tribunal and Appeal Court is a glowing testimony that his, is the people’s mandate.
“I do not have any iota of doubt that with his legislative experience, commitment to service, and acceptance by the people of Owerri Municipal, Hon Clinton will help to steer the course of Imo State Legislature to the much needed right direction.

Recall that Hon Clinton Amadi of Labour Party won landslide in the March 18 State Assembly elections to represent Owerri Municipal but was short-changed by INEC and the APC. INEC announced the APC Candidate in flagrant abuse and neglect of the will of the people. He proceeded to the Imo State Election Tribunal that sat in Nasarawa State, and appeal court in Lagos where both courts sacked the APC Candidate and declared Hon Clinton Amadi winner of the March 18 elections.
