- Uzodinma, Iwu’s relationship reportedly goes sour after election victory
A grapevine source has revealed that the Governor of Imo State Hope Uzodinma has concluded plans to appoint the former Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon Emeka Nduka as the new Secretary to the Imo State Government SGI.
The impeccable source stated that Nduka’s absence in the list of re-elected members of the Imo State House of Assembly was part of the deal for him to replace Cosmas Iwu.
It was gathered that Nduka took advantage of his position as Speaker to warm his way into Governor Uzodinma’s heart. His wife was also said to have used her closeness to Governor Uzodinma’s wife to allegedly backmail Iwu and pave the way for her Husband who has already positioned himself to take over from Cosmas Iwu.
The source who expressed disappointment at the unfolding development stated that it is a well known fact to those who are aware of most of the behind the scene moves that without the support of Iwu’s family, it would have been very difficult for Uzodinma to emerge as Governor in 2019. Hence, they should be appreciated for the key role they played instead of being maligned and rubbished by desperadoes in the corridors of power”.
“It is unfortunate that they now want to rubbish Cosmas Iwu and his brother Maurice by Iwu using Emeka Nduka, who does not have any respect for political elders in Okigwe zone”.
Meanwhile,Friends and Associates of Nduka are already celebrating the expected announcement of the former speaker as the new SGI.Nduka who can’t hide his excitement is said to have boasted that bobody can stop the governor from appointing him as SGI,”no matter how they try”.
