– Mobilizes Them For NYSC
The Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University, Ideato, Imo State, in line with its commitment to excellence and quality service delivery, has graduated her second set of students who were admitted in the 2018/2019 academic session.
The students who successfully finished their degree examinations in October, 2023 have been reportedly mobilized for the on-going NYSC Batch C, stream 2 exercise which began on Friday, November, 24, 2023.
A reliable source in the institution who spoke to Nigeria Watchdog Newspaper stated that the academic transcripts of the students are ready. This, he said, gives credence to the innovative result processing software. He also noted that the graduates will collect their degree certificates during the convocation ceremony scheduled to take place in no distant time.
When contacted, the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof INS Dozie, attributed the positive development to the tremendous support and encouragement of the Governor, His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodinma, who is the Visitor of the school.
The V.C further outlined the benefits of studying at K.O. Mbadiwe University which according to him, include, uninterrupted education (no strike actions), stable academic calendar and timely graduation, accredited programmes, impressive facilities for teaching and learning, dynamic curricula which emphasize entrepreneurship/skill acquisition and leadership education driven by innovative technology, comfortable accommodation (2 students per room ensuite), degree certificates and academic transcripts on graduation, affordable fees, rich student diversity, smart campus layout, safe and secure with amazing ambience, accommodating host communities and experienced Management team. The Vice-Chancellor reiterated the commitment of Management to build K.O. Mbadiwe University to be a first-class institution and a first-choice destination by the year 2026.
In a related development, the Vice-Chancellor affirmed that the university has commenced the 2023/2024 admission exercise into 26 programmes approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC). He stated that qualified candidates who sat for the University Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored 140 and above are eligible to apply, irrespective of whether they chose KOMU as a first-choice institution or not. He said that candidates who did not choose K.O. Mbadiwe University as a first-choice institution can apply by effecting a change of institution on the JAMB Portal.
Furthermore, Direct entry candidates, who possess any of the following A/Levels, JUPEB, NCE, ND, HND, degree certificates in relevant subjects/disciplines are qualified to apply.
