– Urges Kinsmen To Wake Up From Slumber
Dr Batos Nwadike, who voluntarily resigned his appointment as the Chief Political Adviser to the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma, has condemned in very strong terms, what he described as the political marginalization of the Isu Nation, which according to him, has been relegated to the back ground and deprived of juicy positions since the inception of the current political dispensation in 1999.
Nwadike, a former presidential candidate, who stated this in a write-up he captioned “Yultitude Greetings to my, Brothers, of Isu Nation” blamed those he referred to as exclusionists for the plight of the Isu nation adding that, the time has come for the people to stand up and take their destiny in their hands.
“The write-up reads in part, “Yultitude seasons are festive times. Especially this one; Christmas. Happy Christmas and new-year in advance to my brothers and my sisters of Isu Nation worldwide!
“I am aware that a lot many of us have arrived from different parts of the diaspora, especially USA, Europe, Asia, South Africa, China, etc, to reunite with families, relations, and friends. You are all welcome back to home. There is no place like home and blood is thicker than water, as the old saying goes. Once again you are welcome!
“I will as your brother wish to give you home report. Yes, i will wish to start with the current politics of our zone and then that of Imo State and Nigeria. Since 1999, when the current democratic dispensation was birthed, our Isu nation has been with the short end of the stick. It is not ordinary. There have been domestic enemies whom i refer to as our exclusionists. We have never been Governor, Senator or Minister. We have only been hewers of wood and fetchers of water. Those exclusionist have been pretending as if they are our allies or friends. No. They are our clear exclusionists. Yes. There are four major clans in Orlu zone, namely: Isu, Orsu, Oru, and Ideato/ Aboshi.
“The Oru clan have gone to senate as if it is their fathers farmland. There have been Arthur Nzeribe, Alhaji Madugwu, Hope Uzodimma, and Izunaso. As at today, they are enjoying the office of Governor, Minister, and Senator together at one take. Isu nation with large population, four and half LGA and humongous resources is literally an onlooker. The Orsu clan was Governor between 1999/ 2007 and later Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. As well between 2011/ 2019, Ideato was Governor and later Senator of Nigeria. Isu nation remained shortchanged and marginalised. The painful aspect is that it was those we thought were our allies who turned our exclusionists. Chaii!
“Still, let me shock you further by a cursory pointer to the domestic Imo State government. Isu nation is not even commissioner for information, works, finance or chieftaincy, and local government. We are not even considered good enough to be secretary to the state government. There is no substantive office in our Imo State administration occupied by Isu nation. Just almost all the offices occupied are second fiddle or boy-boy positions. It is that bad! It’s so pathetic and excruciating political pain. The pain in the neck is so much because it is been, inflicted by the above exclusionists pretenders who prebandally come off as allies.
“Now brothers, as you wine and dine this Christmas, the comprado Isu brothers will keep boddy or tell you that they are comfortable. That better days ahead. Tell them not to tell you that. That oil is already spiled! Also tell them that the basket of the old mama have fallen off her head and we could count her wares.
“Dear brothers and sisters, these my exhortations will be shot down by our own brothers and not even the beneficiaries of the exclunists system. Chaii, our brothers whose generations should be proud that their brother was even vocal to attract the attention of Imonese to the rabid marginalization. Yes, they are those who will join to beat me or kill me. Do i care? I am strong in spirit that it is on record that i said it, when others were cowed or in the throes of “Give me money, And i will kill myself”.
