Rivers state Commissioner for Works, Dr. George-Kelly D. Alabo, has resigned his appointment as a member of the State executive council.
Dr. Alabp disclosed this in his resignation letter, forwarded on Thursday to the office of the governor of the state, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, through the office of the Secretary to the State Government.
The Wike’s Loyalist had in a letter tagged “RESIGNATION AS HONOURABLE COMMISSIONER FOR WORKS, RIVERS STATE”, noted that his resignation is based on his conscience, personal philosophy, and professional ethics.
The resignation letter reads:
RESIGNATION AS HONOURABLE COMMISSIONER FOR WORKS, RIVERS STATE.
The above subject matter refers;
I hereby resign my appointment as the Commissioner for Works, Rivers State, effective immediately.
My decision to resign is anchored on my conscience, personal philosophy, and professional ethics. This decision was taken after deep introspection.
I appreciate Your Excellency for the opportunity to serve my beloved Rivers State as Commissioner for Works.
Accept the assurances of my regards”.
Earlier,two other commissioners had resigned,including the Attorney General and commssioner for Justice.The trio are said to be loyalists of Wike we had to throw in the towel for fear of being sacked.
