It was a productive and celebration week as the students under the scholarship scheme of Ohams Global Initiative celebrated their benefactor,High-Chief Chuba Ohams (Onwa-Oyoko) as he added another year.
The event which commenced on Friday 13th through Sunday 15th October with a seminar on skill acquisition such as Confectioneries, Chemical production, Hair Stylists, Professional makeup application, hair and nails installation.
The theme of the seminar centered on “YOUTH RESOURCEFULNESS THROUGH INNOVATION AND CREATIVITY” has received a lot of commendation from the public following the untold hardship currently in the country, giving the students such an opportunity is a welcome development as it will go a long way in salvaging them from regrettable life mistakes.
Apart from the instructors, the Director-General of the NGO Comr. Chiemezie G. Ozurumba with his team challenged the students to take this golden opportunity as a means to skyrocket to their desired goals coupled with their academic background; stating that nothing will bridge the effort of any youth who diversified his efforts and experiences as no one knows what future holds.
The three days event ended on Sunday with a Birthday Thanksgiving mass at St. Mulumba’s Catholic parish Weatheral rd., Owerri. Subsequently was an interdenominational praise and blessings on the life of High-Chief Chuba Ohams by the students and they later headed to the hall for cutting of birthday cake and the Banquet.
The climax of the event was the presentation of 40 feet portrait of their benefactor as a birthday gift which was received by the Director-General.

In a vote of thanks, another graduate of OGI scholarship scheme Comr. Kosisochukwu Ohakosim appreciated the founder for his sacrifice to humanity while counting himself lucky to be among the beneficiaries of this Grace. The first ever beneficiary of this noble charity, who also served as the occasion chairman once again admonished the undergraduates to shun social vices and embrace virtues so as to achieve success in all their endeavours.
