Sequel to a publication about the title of Nze said to have been purportedly conferred on Chief Richmond Okoro by a group of allegedly compromised self servicing individuals, the Council of Nze title holders in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State have distanced and dissociated themselves from Chief Richmond Okoro, who they said is not their member.
A prominent member of the group who spoke to journalists, described Chief Richmond Okoro as an impostor whose claim of being an Nze traditional title holder as baseless and unrealistic.
A village Head in Mbieri who also spoke in the same vein stated that an, “Nze title holder, does not forment trouble in his town, fabricate stories or tell lies. He should rather, be a peace maker who takes delight in unity and mutual co-existence”.
Commenting on Chief Richmond Okoro’s character and antecedents, the group said that, his baggage should be referred to Ndi Nze Mbieri for answers and clarification, adding that Obi Mbieri Village Heads will soon take action on their own if those who are supposed to do so fail to do the needful”.
