– Vow To Vote En-Masse For APC
Over 1,500 members of Owerri Tyre Dealers Association led by Chief Uche Okafor, have vowed to mobilize support and do everything they can to ensure that the incumbent Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope who is seeking re-election on the platform of the All Progressive Congress APC, emerges victorious in the upcoming governorship election scheduled to hold in the state on November, 11, 2023.
The members of the association, led by their Chairman, Chief Uche Okafor, a good friend and confidant of Youth Leader of the All Progressive Congress APC, in Owerri Municipal Council Comrade Onyewuchi Onuoha stated this while addressing journalists at the flag off of the APC governorship campaign held at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri the Imo State capital recently.
Members of the Association, led by Chief Okafor and other members of the executive, while dancing, jubilating and singing solidarity songs described Governor Uzodinma, as a God-sent leader who is on a mission to transform the state and restore its lost glory.
According to Chief Okafor, “the Governor’s giant infrastructural developmental strides are unprecedented in the annals of democratic governance in the state. The Owerri-Orlu road, Owerri-Okigwe road, Owerri-Umuahia road and other link roads in the state, that were death traps because of abandonment by previous administrations in the state are now wearing new looks, because the Governor awarded contracts for their reconstruction to reputable construction companies who delivered quality jobs that would stand the test of time”.
“The Hope Uzodinma-led 3R shared prosperity administration in the state, aside its monumental infrastructural giant strides, has also performed excellently in the areas of youth empowerment, payment of accumulated arrears of pensions and gratuities that were left unaddressed by previous administrations, the recovery of properties looted by past administrations including the Kingsley Ozumba Mbadwe University, Ideato, (formerly) Easter Palm University, among others.
Having considered the achievements of the Governor, his track record and people-oriented programs and policies that are designed to transform the state and place it on a better socio-economic pedestal we have resolved individually and collectively not only to vote but to mobilize support for the Governor by ensuring that our members, families, friends and associates vote en-mass for the Governor to ensure that he emerges victorious come, November, 11, 2023 to continue the good works he is doing”.
Okafor, a very good friend of the Chairman, Owerri Zone council of traditional rulers, His Royal Highness, Eze Akujobi of Awaka Autonomous Community in Owerri North Local Government Area (Patron of the Tyre Dealers Association) who spoke amidst loud ovation from the 1500 tyre dealers present at the APC governorship campaign flag off, noted that, “Uzodinma’s giant developmental strides in all sectors of the economy have transformed Imo State into economic hub of the South east, adding that Imo people have no other alternative than to give him another 4-year mandate in line with the age-long dictum that “the reward for hard work is more work”.
This, he said will give the governor opportunity to consolidate on his numerous ground breaking achievements in line with the Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Recovery Agenda of his administration.
He also expressed confidence that the Imo electorate will appreciate the Governor’s exceptional performance by voting en-masse for him and the All Progressive Congress APC, come, November, 11 as “that will be the only panacea for continued infrastructural and socio-economic development of the State and her people who have never had it so good.
It will also enhance the consolidation of the integration of Imo State into the main stream of national politics”.
