-Accepts Uzodinma’s Campaign Council Appointment
–Vindicates Watchdog’s Report on his romance with Uzodinma
The recent appointment of Fabian Ihekweme, a former Commissioner in Governor Hope Uzodinma’s administration as a member of the APC Governorship Campaign Council, has further given credence to speculations in several quarters that he has been an agent planted in Labour Party by the opposition to destabilize the party.
A Labour Party Chieftain who commented on the recent development posited that, “Ihekweme’s appointment as a member of the APC governorship campaign council has confirmed speculations that the Social Contract Agenda he has been propagating is a well planned gimmick that was designed to deceive and hoodwink other candidates to the advantage of his principal who recruited and has been funding him adequately for the hatchet job he is doing”.
“We still recall vividly how he was used to set up a shadow government in the state shortly after Ihedioha’s emergence as the Governor of Imo State. It is on record that the shadow government he spear headed almost suffocated Ihedioha’s administration”.
Many Imo people who followed Ihekwueme sheepishly without knowing he had a hidden agenda which was to return to APC after destabilizing Labour party.To many of them, Ihekwueme was passionate about ensuring the emergence of Peter Obi as President of Nigeria, by extension Labour party, unknown to them that he was on a mission.
Others who also expressed their views about what they described as Ihekweme’s questionable antecedents and track record said, “the fact that Fabian Ihekweme whose financial status is well known has been staying in a hotel since he started his Big Tent project shows that he is being well funded for the hatchet jobs he was recruited to do by his principal hence some of us who know him very well and can also read between the lines are not surprised”.
Effort to reach the former Commissioner for comments was futile as his phone number was not reachable.
He was also yet to confirm whether or not he has accepted the appointment as at the time of filing this reports.
