-Described As Huge Asset To Party
Comrade Engr Kesandu Kenkwo Kingsley, (KKK) who contested for the Ehime Mbano, Ihitte Uboma, Obowo Federal Constituency seat on the platform of the Young Progressive Party YPP in the February, 25, 2023 election has joined the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, alongside members of his campaign council.
Kesandu Kenkwo Kingsley was received and formally presented to the stakeholders, leaders and members of the party by the Chairman of the party in Umuezegwu, Ward, Uchenna Nwachukwu, during a stakeholders meeting held at the party’s secretariat over the weekend.
The Chairman of the PDP in Ihitte Uboma Local Government Area, Hon Chris Odoemenam while receiving Hon Kesandu to the party described him as an asset whose impact and contributions will be cherished and appreciated by the leadership and members of the party.
He further stated that KKK’s decision to join the PDP ahead of the November, 11, election is timely and would enhance the fortunes of the party in no small measure.
Responding, the Umuezegwu, Ihitte Uboma born Civil Engineer and human rights activist appreciated the leaders and members of the party in his ward and the L.G.A for the warm reception accorded him and members of his campaign council. He promised to do his best to enhance the fortunes of the party and the welfare of the people.
“The PDP House of Assembly candidate in the last general election, Hon. Obed Ajonuma in his speech, expressed happiness about the entry of Hon. KKK into PDP. He described him as a progressive young man, highly articulate and very dependable. He stated that having likes of Hon. KKK in the party, there will be a huge turnaround in the party and affairs of Ihitte/Uboma at large. He assured him of his maximum cooperation and better synergy.
Speaking on behalf of the leaders, Chief David Abanihe, said it is a welcome development to have Hon. Kesaandu into the party. He encouraged party faithfuls to support him for everyone to work together for the success of the party, saying he has no doubt that Hon. Kesaandu will add great value to the party.

It is with great joy and determination to serve the people that my entire team made this big decision to join the People’s Democratic Party today. Honestly, things are getting worse when it comes to the affairs of Imo State and Ihitte/Uboma in particular. Hence it is only wise for us to come together under this umbrella and find a lasting solution to this unfortunate quagmire that we have found ourselves in. The ideology and modus operandi of our Campaign Organisation is still intact, as the Messenger, the message of effective, efficient and responsible representation of the people at all levels remain evergreen in my heart and those of my supporters. This is what we are also bringing into the PDP to make the people happy, which is the primary essence of politics cum governance. Our team all over the three Local Government Areas of Okigwe South Federal Constituency and Imo State at large is ready to assist PDP emerge victorious in the forthcoming gubernatorial election, come November 11.
