– As Ezeanochie Harps On Peaceful Co-existence
The leadership of Imo State Amalgamated Market Traders Association ISAMATA, on Wednesday, Auguat,9,2023 met with a delegation of Hausa Traders Community, led by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Northern Affairs, Amb. Hassan Adamu.
The meeting, where important issues about the progress, unity and security of the Hausa Traders Community and the entire state were discussed, was attended by the Chairmen of Hausa Traders Community in the 27 Local Government Areas of the State.
The President of ISAMATA, Hon Emmanuel Ezeanochie (JP) urged the Hausa Traders Community to ensure that peace and tranquility reign in the various markets while they go about their legitimate businesses. He assured them that all necessary steps will be taken to ensure that their interests and welfare are protected.
He urged them to go about their normal businesses without fear of attack or molestation, pointing out that the Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma has provided efficient security structure to ensure the security of lives and property of all.
The ISAMATA boss, encouraged Hausa Traders in the state to sustain their unalloyed support and loyalty for the 3R shared prosperity government.
He also stressed that Governor Uzodinma’s re-election, come November, 11,2023 will guarantee enhanced progress and prosperity in the state.
“He said, “I urge you all to maintain peace and unity in your various markets, say no to violence and conflicts. Go about your normal businesses freely without any fear. We are one, whether Igbo, Hausa or Yoruba.
Our Governor, Dist Sen. Hope Uzodimma loves all Imo Traders irrespective of religious or tribal affiliation. He has continued to provide enabling environment for our businesses to thrive. I therefore urge you all to maintain your support for the 3R government of our Governor”.
The Owerri Zonal President of ISAMATA, Hon.Chief. David Okoko (JP), in his address, further stressed the need for peaceful co-existence among traders, while urging the Hausa Traders Community to caution their members who are involved in various crimes in the State.
