The candidate of Action Alliance (AA) for the governorship election scheduled to hold in Imo State, November, 11, 2023, Major General Lincoln Jack Ogunewe (Rtd) has said that his emergence as Governor of the state will put an end to the frightening insecurity ravaging the state and also revamp the economy by providing enabling environment for businesses to thrive.
Ogunewe, who stated this while addressing his teeming supporters in Owerri recently assured that he is in the race because he is passionately committed to restoring the lost glory of the state.
He regretted that Imo State that was known to be a peaceful and serene place has suddenly become a theatre of war, bloodshed and all kinds of absurdities that have dented its image and that of her people.
“I want to assure you today that, as a security expert, who has occupied several strategic management and operational positions, I have a well articulated blue print that will end insecurity and attendant challenges, revamp the economy of the state that is presently comatose, strengthen the institutions of governance, enable the local government to function optimally as the third tier of government that they are constitutionally meant to be”.
He urged the Imo electorate to avoid being hoodwinked to sell their votes or mortgage their conscience under any circumstance.
“The November, 11, election offers Imo people who have been subjected to all kinds of avoidable havoc, mayhem, lack and deprivation occasioned by leadership and administrative deficit to right the wrongs of the past by voting en-masse for Action Alliance (A.A), the political party that has the solution to the socio-economic problems confronting the state and her people.
