– Commends Mbaitoli SOLAD’s fruitful peace initiative
As TPM assures better days ahead
The immediate past President General of Obi Mbieri autonomous community in Mbitoli Local Government Area of Imo State, Hon Patrick Emeruem, has congratulated his successor, Chief Samuel Oparaugo on his emergence as the current President General of the community.
Emeruem, whose tenure had expired, exhibited what many described as the true attitude of a gentle man by congratulating Chief Oparaugo, shortly after his emergence on Friday, June, 30.
The out gone President General also commended the Sole Administrator (SOLAD) of Mbaitoli L.G.A, Hon Chinasa Hamilton Opara for initiating the process that culminated in the restoration of peace in the community and the emergence of a popular, respected and well accepted indigene of the community as the President General.
His congratulatory message which which was made available to this reporter reads, ‘’To the Glory of Almighty God, at the invitation of the Solad Mbaitoli LGA – Chief Hon Chinasa Hamilton Opara (JP) to all Obi Mbieri Stakeholders to Nwaorieubi today, an INTERIM PG was announced to Nde Obi Mbieri Autonomous Community after some deliberations.He is Chief Samuel Oparaugo – Ohohia Town Union PG.
“On behalf of My Family and immediate past Executive of Obi Mbieri, I want thank Ndi OMA Obi Mbieri Autonomous Community for your unrelenting support, show of Love and Solidarity even at the point of serious danger, scarce resources and means.
“As a Democrat, i will never support or align myself to evil or be a cog in the wheel of Progress and development of Obi Mbieri Autonomous Community.
“I want to thank Almighty God for sparing my life and the lives of all my executive members and families to this time. For everything in life ….there is a season. May God guide and protect all of us, IJMN, Amen. From your beloved Obi Mbieri Autonomous Community. “
When contacted, the Traditional Prime Minister TPM of Obi Mbieri, Prof Kyrian Ndikom, expressed happiness that peace has finally been restored in Obi Mbieri. He also commended the Sole Administrator of Mbaitoli Local Government Area, Hon Chinasa Hamilton Opara, for his intervention, which has brought about the peace the community enjoys now.
‘’I am very elated that today, peace, which is a prerequisite for development, has been restored in our community.
“Let me also commend in a very special way, the out gone President General of Obi Mbieri autonomous community, Hon Patrick Emeruem for exhibiting true sportsmanship by promptly congratulating his successor, Chief Oparaugo, on his well deserved emergence, in line with the constitution, guidelines and laid down rules of the community.
The Dr. KC Ndikom added that with this cheering development,he assures the entire community of better days ahead by urging everyone to join hands in moving the community forward. “For the sake of the young generation, we can not afford to NOT maintain peace and unity in our hometowns,” Dr. Ndikom added.
