There is no gainsaying the fact that the immediate past government of Muhammadu Buhari had Senator Hope Uzodimma in its good book. This is evident in the way and manner, the Omuma,Oru East LGA born Governor of Imo State hosted the former President and his Vice, Yemi Osibanjo to commission projects.
Apart from being in the good book of Buhari, Uzodimma also endeared himself to the powers that be. Infact, many had argued that Senator Hope Uzodinma had a field day in selecting which Commissioner of Police, Army Chiefs, other security heads to be posted to Imo.
According to an Abuja source, ever since President Bola Almed Tinubu was sworn in as president, Uzodinma who will be re-contesting under All Progressive Congress platform on the 11 of November 2023 now resides in Abuja. “Infact, observers have accused the Uzodinma of abandoning Douglas House to seek the face of Tinubu and the newly appointed security Chiefs”.
Meanwhile, a group known as Imo integrity group have called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to dismiss the Imo state commissioner of police over his complacency in most of the crime committed in Imo, particularly in the Tiger base Unit of the Imo State Police command.
The group led by Comrade Victor Nnadi, called on the new Inspector General of Police to constitute a panel to ascertain the command’s activities since the regime of the commissioner of police, Mohammed Almed Barde.
