The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, has confirmed Barr Vivian Otti, Chairperson of the National Association of Women Journalists NAWOJ as the Deputy Governorship candidate of the Advanced Democratic Party ADP, in Imo State.
Barr Otti, who is serving her second tenure as Imo NAWOJ Chairperson is the running mate of Dr Kachi Nwoga whose name is the fifth in the list of governorship candidates published by INEC.
Speaking to our correspondent, Otti, a seasoned a human rights activist and erudite lawyer, expressed optimism that ADP will win the November, 11, Imo Governorship election.
She also stated that the party has a well articulated people-oriented blue print of action that will transform the state for the good of all.
She said,”My Principal and I will initiate programmes and policies that will restore the pride of our state and also ensure that women are not left behind in the scheme of things.
“We will create enabling environment for businesses to thrive, in addition to ensuring security of lives and property’’.
The Oguta born politician called on Imo people to rally round ADP to enable the party reposition the state and fast track its infrastructural and socioeconomic development.
