–Achonu Speaks On Choice Of Ex-lawmaker
The Governorship candidate of Labour Party in Imo State, Senator Athan Achonu, on Friday, June 2, 2023 unveiled Hon Tony Nwulu, who represented Oshodi/Isolo Federal Constituency II of Lagos State in the Federal House of Representatives.
Speaking at the event, Senator Achonu said, ‘’the task of recovering our dear state from the hand of Nebuchadnezzar and his group, is a collective project that will be executed by people of like mind who are committed to enhancing the welfare of the people’’.
The L.P Guber candidate said, he chose Tony Nwulu as his running mate because he believes that with him and the support of Imo people, Labour Party will emerge victorious at the November 11, polls and reposition the state.
Responding, Hon Tony Nwulu expressed gratitude to the party for giving him such opportunity that will enable him serve Imo people and humanity.
He expressed regret that insecurity has dealt devastating blows on the socio-economic structure of the state adding that Labour Party has come to change the narrative.
Tony Nwulu, an indigene of Eziudo in Ezihitte Mbaise L.G.A, who represented Oshodi-Isolo II federal constituency of Lagos State in the Federal House of Representatives, sponsored the Not Too Young to run Bill that was later signed into Law.
