The leadership of Labour Party in Owerri Municipal Council of Imo State, has suspended Hon Clinton Amadi, the house of assembly candidate for Owerri Municipal Council, Sunday Mba, Chukwuemeka Kamalu and 22 others for engaging in anti party activities and unruly actions that are detrimental to the aims, objectives, vision and mission of the party in all ramifications.
Those who were suspended alongside Clinton Amadi and seven Ward Chairmen, namely Uche Ejiofor, Chinedu Christian Jinegwo, Eugene Ike, Sabinus Ihekire, Pascal Madu, Bartholomew Aguocha and Uchenna Ejiogu.
Others are Ifeanyi Ejiofor, Imo Chukwuebuka, Tunde Lawal, Pascal Mbano, Livina Munaonye, Desmond Oforma, Olivia Nkwocha, Chris Duru, Ugochukwu Emeribe, Osuji Chima, Mike Nwachukwu and Joy Mejuru.
A letter dated April, 28, 2023 with the caption, ‘’SUSPENSION OF CLINTON AMADI, SUNDAY MBA, JOYCE UKAH, ABED NJEMANZE OF IKENEGBU WARD 1, UCHE EJIOFOR, IFEANYI EJIOFOR, IMO CHUWUEBUKA AND TUNDE LAWAL OF AZUZII WARD3, EUGENE IKE OF AZUZII WARD 4, PASCHAL MBANO, CHUKWUEMEKA KAMALU AND BEATRICE KAMAKLU OF AZUZII WARD 2, SABINUS IHEKIRE, LIVINA MUNAONYE AND DESMOND OFORMA OF GRA WARD, BATHOLOMEW AGUOCHA and OLIVIA NKWOCHA OF IKRNEGBU WARD 2, CHIEDU CHRISTIAN JINEGWO AND CHRIS DURU OF NEW OWERRI WARD 1, UGOCHUKWU EMERIBE AND OSUJI CHIMA OF ALADINMA WARD 2, MIKE NWACHUKWU AND JOY MEJURU OF NEW OWERRI WARD 2, which was signed by the Chairman, Hon Engr Obinna Felix Nwachukwu, the Financial Secretary, Plus Madu, L.G.A Ex-offico, Mrs Suzan Okorie L.G.A Assistant Publicity Secretary, Paul Akalonu and L.G.A Woman Leader, Mrs Chukwu Chizoma and addressed to the State Chairman reads, ‘’I write to formerly inform the leadership of our great party in the state of the nefarious and anti party activities of the above mentioned members of Labour party in Owerri Municipal Council who are being misled by Hon Clinton Amadi to indulge in all kinds of unlawful activities, actions and conduct that are inimical to the growth, progress and sustenance of our great party, contrary to Article 19 of the constitution of Labour party’’.
We all know that they are spies and paid agents of the Lamidi Apapa faction who infiltrated our party to do the wish of their masters to the detriment of Labour party’’.
Besides, we have always known Clinton Amadi’s antecedents. That was why we were surprised when he was given the party’s ticket for Owerri Municipal Council State constituency’’.
