Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu, the Peoples Democratic Party PDP Governorship candidate in Imo State, has congratulated Senator Ademola Adeleke on his victory at the Supreme Court where he was affirmed as the authentic Governor of Osun State.
Anyanwu, who is also the National Secretary of the PDP described the supreme court verdict on the Osun State governorship election as victory for democracy.
The Amaimo, Ikeduru born political strategist, in a statement signed by his Special Adviser (Media), Ikenna Onuoha, expressed confidence that the PDP, will in the same way recover all its stolen mandates through the court.
‘’ According to him, the unpopular APC administration thinks that the only way to retain power is to manipulate the election processes, adding that the innovations in the 2022 electoral Act such as the introduction of BVAS for accreditation and transmission of election results from polling units in real time is helping to checkmate their fraudulent activities.
While congratulating Governor Adeleke and the people of Osun state, Senator Anyanwu therefore enjoins the Judiciary to continue to dispense justice without fear or favour in order to sustain democracy in Nigeria.
