A former leader of Orlu legislative Council, Rt.Hon Gozie Nwagba, has drummed support for the governorship ambition of Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu who is currently the National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, ahead of the 2023 election.
Nwagba, a political heavy height, grassroots mobilizer and chieftain of the PDP who described Samdaddy as the best option in terms of charisma, good will and followership across the three senatorial zones said if the PDP actually desire to win the 2023 governorship election in Imo State, it should consider Senator Anyanwu as it’s best option.
Nwagba who stated this while addressing newsmen in Owerri the Imo State capital, yesterday noted that, ‘’Samdaddy is unassuming, tolerant and has the capacity to bring leaders of the party together for the purpose of sending the All Progressive Congress (APC) parking, adding that the APC, aside its poor, inept and purposeless performance in all areas has unleashed untold hardship, lack and deprivation on Imo people who have never had it so bad’’.
‘’Continuing, Nwagba who is also a Board of Trustee,BOT member of Orluzurumee Youth Assembly said, ‘’if Owerri zone must get the much elusive governorship slot and win the election in 2023 they should ensure that they present a credible, easy going and focused leader like Samdaddy who will be acceptable to both Orlu and Okigwe zones.
“As a senator, he united the people of Owerri zone to speak with one voice. Hence his 4 year tenure at the upper chamber of the national assembly remains a reference point and the most glorious era. I am optimistic that his emergence as Governor will also unite the state and fast track Socio-economic and infrastructural development of the State. What Imo needs now is unity and not divisiveness’’.
