A political giant and successful businessman, Chief Kingsley Okehie has defected from the Peoples Democratic Party PDP to Labour Party.
Okehie who confirmed his defection during a telephone conversation, yesterday expressed his commitment to ensuring victory for the presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi and other candidates of the party.
He expressed optimism that Labour Party will win majority of the positions come 2023, adding that Peter Obi remains the best for the presidential election.
Okehie who was the Accord party candidate for 2019 election but joined PDP shortly after the general election and had been one of the major financiers of PDP in Orlu LGA.
The community leader and grassroots mobiliser was a member of different committees, including the finance committee.
A party source who doesn’t want his name in print has disclosed that Okehie as part of his commitment to ensure victory for the party has pledged to secure and furnish a befitting office for Orlu Labour party.
