-Says: 8th IMHA Rubber Stamp
The President of Ohanaeze Youth Council, the youth wing of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide Comrade Igboayaka O. Igboayaka has passed a vote of implicit confidence in Comrade Precious Nwadike, Labour Party candidate for Orlu State Constituency who he described as the most competent, credible and reliable among all the candidates who have indicated interest in occupying the position come 2023.
Comrade Igboayaka who stated this in Owerri on Sunday, August averred that, “any person who knows Nwadike very well or is aware of his antecedents and track record would not hesitate to vouch for him as regards his ability to offer quality and result-oriented representation that would culminate in the dispensation of the dividends of democracy to Orlu people who have for sometime been victims of insecurity, extrajudicial killings, unlawful arrest, and detention among others”.
The youth leader insisted that, “with Comrade Precious Nwadike and few others like him in the House, the principle of checks and balances would be strongly entrenched. It would no longer be easy for the governor to annex and make the House of Assembly which under normal circumstances should check the excesses of the executive a rubber stamp”.
He blamed the prevailing bad governance at all levels on the elected representatives of the people who have been silent, insensitive and complacent amidst ravaging insecurity, hardship, killing, bloodletting, arson and other dehumanizing factors.
“They refused to speak up and hold the government accountable to the people whose mandate they hold in trust. That is why we are in the pitiable condition we are today”.
He urged Orlu people to support Comrade Nwadike, reminding them what they stand to gain by having a youthful, pragmatic, vocal, courageous and credible candidate who incidentally has aligned himself with Peter Obi and Labour Party that have come to salvage, transform and reposition Imo State and Nigeria for the good of all”.
