Orlu Women For Sustainable Development, OWFSUD, a socio-political movement comprising credible women leaders, seasoned administrators, academics and administrators has expressed their unflinching confidence in the ability of the Labour Party candidate for Orlu State Constituency, Comrade Precious Nwadike to offer quality and effective representation as opposed to the current poor and lack luster representation in the Imo State House of Assembly.
The women stated this recently during their virtual 2022 Home and Abroad August meeting, where they brainstormed on how to contribute their quota towards the comprehensive development of Orlu L.G.A.
They expressed delight at the emergence of Comrade Nwadike as a candidate for Orlu State Assembly seat, stressing that his victory at the polls will herald a new dawn and change the narrative of the entire local government area in terms of socio-economic and infrastructural development.
The President General Orlu Women For Sustainable Development, Mrs Kachi Emeruwa said, “Comrade Precious Nwadike is a focused, principled, visionary and result-oriented servant leader who has empowered many Orlu youths, helped in resolving many disputes involving Orlu people and communities. He has also provided succor for many in Orlu LGA”.
The group aligned with Comrade Nwadike’s submission that unemployment, deprivation and lack of enabling environment for commerce and industry are the major causes of insecurity, youth restiveness, drug addiction and other vices in the area, stressing that Nwadike’s victory will usher in a new lease of life that will transform Orlu local government area and environ.
“Nwadikes emergence as lawmaker for Orlu State Constituency will ensure prudent execution of constituency projects, attraction of state presence, due process, respect for rule of law, creation of employment through skill acquisition programmes and other avenues”.
She regretted that, “Orlu LGA has for some time now been subjected to unprecedented level of insecurity, debilitating poverty, socio-economic retardation and blood letting while our elected representatives are unconcerned as if nothing is happening.
It is therefore heart warming that Nwadike has emerged like a Messiah to rectify the numerous anomalies.
“I was Precious Nwadike’s school teacher and can assure you that he was one of the most intelligent, vibrant and obedient students I had then and has remained same. He hates cheating and maltreatment of any kind. He has proven to be passionate about the welfare of Orlu people”.
She re-echoed the decision of Orlu women to do all they can to ensure Nwadike’s landslide victory, come 2023.
“Nwadike is the kind of representative we need at a time like this, considering what is presently at stake in Orlu LGA. His impeccable character, outstanding track record, reputation and commitment to the growth and development of Orlu LGA distinguish him from the crowd, in addition to his proven competence in the positions he previously held”.
