Mrs Edith Nwosu, a Philanthropist, Oil and Gas Consultant, and Founder of Ikuku Oma Health Care Foundation who is contesting to represent the people of Nwangele Local Government Area in the Imo State House of Assembly come 2023 on the platform of the Labour Party has assured the people of better days area,if elected.
She stated this on Saturday July 9, 2022 amidst jubilation by Nwangele constituents who gathered to witness the long awaited declaration by a highly revered humanitarian who has touched many lives positively in her Constituency and beyond.
While addressing the crowd at the epochal event, Mrs Nwosu highlighted her readiness, passion, credibility, competence and wealth of experience she garnered over the years in different leadership positions. She also assured the people of quality and effective representation.
According to her, she wants to represent the people to better their lives, adding that women in positions do things differently. She promised to facilitate people oriented laws and Bills that will attract socio-economic, infrastructural development and reforms that will be beneficial to the people.
Her words, “My utmost priority and first project for my people is free health care system. I have a Health Care Foundation with fifteen doctors, many surgeons and nurses. On several occasions we had organized free Medical outreaches and conducted free surgical operations in this Constituency. We give free drugs and conduct different forms of surgery.
“Helping people is in my DNA. My mother had five hospitals which she used to provide free quality health Care service. I have done a lot for my people using my resources. I will utilize our Constituency allocations to work for the people”.
“Education is another project I have in mind. I will introduce computerized system of education in our public primary and secondary schools. I will employ many youths in my Oil and Gas firm and engage others in entrepreneurship training. I need your support to make Nwangele great. Let us be Obedient and rebuild our nation and Constituency. Together we can”.
The Labour Party LGA Chairman, Daniel Eze in his speech at the occasion expressed profound appreciation to Mrs Nwosu for her immense positive contributions to the Constituency while requesting all present to support her in her quest to represent the people.
He inferred that Labour Party is the only party that is widely loved and accepted in Nigeria, adding that the positive change the masses desire will emanate from the party. He advised every party member to be hard working, resilient and committed to the realization of the New Nigeria.
Prof Francis Dike (SAN),former attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Imo State who was present at the occasion stated that Labour Party is a movement and a revolution which has come with a positive response to the sufferings of the Nigerian people. He encouraged the party faithful to be patriotic, contented and committed to rescuing the country from further damages.
Many dignitaries graced the occasion including Mrs Igbozuruike Anthonia, Woman Leader, Global Equity Group for Peter Obi, Dr Chris Nwachukwu, an educationist, amongst many others.
