· Hails Labour Party for restoring North- South balance

The Nigerian- American Coalition for Justice and Democracy (NACJD) has hailed the Peter Obi, Datti Ahmed Presidential ticket for restoring North- South balance; the Christian – Muslim balance; with statesmen whose real names, age, educational credentials, identities, political and personal pedigrees are verifiable.
The group which is a Washington, DC United States of America based Research and Good Governance advocacy non-profit organization that lobbies the US Government, the Congress, and the policy-making community to influence US policies on Nigeria stated this in a press release issued by its Chairman Prof. Eddie Oparaoji and Secretary, Chijike Ndukwu and made available to newsmen in Owerri, the Imo State capital on Monday.
It further noted that while the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressive Party (APC) are reeling from the shocking national acceptance of Mr. Peter Obi, the choice of Dr. Yusuf Datti Baba Ahmed as running mate suggests that the Labour Party is determined to rescue Nigeria more realistically than other parties and their presidential candidates.
According to the group, “It is a well known fact that the very first decision of any presidential flag bearer is to make the choice of a running mate, and this points to how that president will govern and the consequent impact of the potential government if elected.
Speaking further, the group noted that the choice of Dr. Ahmed – an economist, relatively young Nigerian Muslim from northern Nigeria; an educationist, entrepreneur and most importantly an anti- corruption, crusader and detribalized Nigerian, Mr. Peter Obi’s Presidency has the potential to heal and prosper Nigeria and Nigerians in general.
It maintained that since independence in 1960, no presidential ticket in their opinion has given Nigerians greater hope of building or rebuilding a greater nation than the Peter Obi – Datti Ahmed Presidential ticket under Labour Party.
Commending the Peter Obi – Datti Ahmed ticket , the Nigerian- American Coalition for Justice and Democracy reiterated that the party’s decision ahead of the forthcoming presidential election has restored the North – South balance; the Christian – Muslim balance; which they said will further strengthen Nigeria democratic system when they emerge come 2023.
NACJD reminded millions of Nigerians who troop to their churches and mosques every week asking for God’s favour upon Nigeria, that the candidacy of Peter Obi and Senator Datti Ahmed in their opinion, is God’s response and answer the prayers of Nigerians.
The group therefore called on all Nigerians to resist any attempt by mischievous politicians to use deploy rigging and electoral violence to derail the current move by young people to make Nigeria a developed social welfare oriented nation under the Rule of Law and Good Governance.
