The Leadership and members of the agitators for the Sovereign State of Biafra otherwise movement for the actualization of the sovereign state of Biafra (MASSOB) has dissociated itself from a recent political rally held by its former leader ,Mr Ralph Uwazuruike in support of the Presidential bid of the Governor of Niger state ,Yahaya Bello.
To this effortt, a statement issued in Owerri on Monday May 2 signed by the MASSOB National Director of Information, Comrade Edeson Samuel stated that the leadership of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has exonerated themselves from the show of shame and reckless insensitivity of Ralph Uwazuruike and his hired Igbo youths who paraded themselves as MASSOB members in Owerri conducting a political rally for the support of Gov Yahaya Bello’s presidential ambition. They are not MASSOB members.
The Igbo group said,”MASSOB has never engaged, campaigned or rallied for any politician vying for political office in Nigeria. Our primary duty of existence is for the actualization of and restoration of Biafra through non violence. MASSOB can never be agitating for Biafra autonomy and at the same time romancing with the major enemies of the people of Biafra”.
MASSOB warned Ralph Uwazuruike, the leader of Biafra Independent Movement (BIM) to stop parading himself as MASSOB leader, and to stop also using MASSOB for merchandise.
“It is very unfortunate that Uwazuruike who was expelled from MASSOB on November, 2015 because of corruption and betrayal of trust / confidence”.
MASSOB wondered why Ralph Uwazuruike who claimed to be founder and leader of a pro Biafra organization called Biafra Independence Movement (BIM) did not remind his visiting Northern governor about the continuous detention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu by the federal government led by his father, President Muhammadu Buhari. Instead, Uwazuruike was canvassing and campaigning for the presidential ambition of Yahaya Bello.
Ralph Uwazuruike is still a shameless man and a disgrace to Igbo Nation.
Ralph Uwazuruike campaining for the governor of Kogi state against his Igbo brother is nothing but to fulfill the agreement he signed with the Hausa Fulani Cabals in 2013 and also to pay for the money he received from the governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
MASSOB will not allow Uwazuruike to sabotage Igbo interest in Nigeria because of his selfish desire.
MASSOB will always support projects that will promote Igbo interest.
MASSOB will no longer allow betrayals and saboteurs to ruin the future of Ndigbo in Nigeria.”
