The lawmaker representing Njaba state constituency at the Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Amb. Uju Onwudiwe (Igolo Njaba) has disassociated herself from a publication in Trumpeta Newspaper of Friday 11th February, 2022, where the newspaper alleged a purported gang-up against governor Hope Uzodinma.
A release made available to newsmen in Owerri through her Media Assistant, Jeff Onyekwere, stated that putting the picture of Rt. Hon. Amb. Uju Onwudiwe PhD, among politicians who are alleged to be plotting against Senator Hope Uzodinma is preposterous and malicious.
The statement reads, “putting the picture of Rt. Hon. Amb. Uju Onwudiwe, PhD, among politicians who are alleged to be plotting against His Excellency is preposterous and malicious. For emphasis, Dr Mrs Onwudiwe, Igolo Njaba has no intention and has not engaged nor participated in any form of collusion to undermine His Excellency Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodinma and the political project towards 2023. Amb. Uju Onwudiwe makes it clear to all that care to know that she is a member of All Progressives Congress (APC) party of which Governor Hope Uzodinma is the apex leader in Imo State. She is strongly supportive of the good people – oriented projects and programs of His Excellency, the governor and as such has no reason whatsoever to engage in any collusive arrangement to scuttle his interest come 2023 and beyond “
“The lawmaker reiterated that governor Uzodinma deserves to be supported and encouraged to enable him provide dividends of democracy to Imo people not to engage in distracting his focused administration in the state.
“Hon. Onwudiwe assured that governor Uzodinma is leaving no stone unturned in his bid to reposition the state in line with his 3-R shared prosperity mantra in the state in order to ensure the socio-economic and socio-political well-being of all Imolites.
“The Njaba lawmaker condemned Trumpeta Newspaper’s inclination to sensational reportage and their in ability to provide credible facts to buttress their assertion that Rt. Hon. Uju Onwudiwe is indulging in a romance with any factional interest let alone PDP and other interests in the state.
“According to the release “Rt. Hon. Amb. Uju Onwudiwe therefore dissociate herself from this malicious speculation as she affirms her respect and support for APC, our dear performing governor, Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodinma and his giant strides in delivering dividends of democracy to the state”.
She condemned the said publication describing it as sensational journalism which is based on speculation without credible substance.
