Olu Owerri, a socio cultural and political association in Owerri zone of Imo state has charged Christians to follow the footsteps of Lord Jesus Christ in living exemplary lives. 

The group said this through their National President, Chief Martin Opara on Tuesday when they paid a condolence visit to Imo ace broadcaster, Obidinma Aku (Abdul) at the latter’s residence.

Chief Martin Opara described the deceased, Chief Isaac Aku and his Wife Mrs. Agnes Aku Obidinma’s parents, as devout Christians who lived godly lives and impacted the society in no small measure through their profession as teachers.

He described Aku Obidinma Abdul as a dogged fighter for good governance and broadcaster of repute and urged him and members of his family to accept the verdict of God over his parents.

Others who spoke during the condolence visit include Samuel Nwokeocha, the National Youth Leader, Austin Egejuru, the President of Amaulu Town union, Nokey Ebikam.

Responding, Comrade Aku Obidinma thanked the group for commiserating with him at this challenging time and promised to support their quest for the liberation of Owerri zone in the Imo political space.
