–Warns Politicians Sowing Seeds Of Discord
The Owerri Zone Apex Socio-cultural Organization yesterday said it remains focused and committed to the ideals for which the organization was formed.
The group which spoke through the Secretary general, Barr Sylvester Nwogu insisted that politicians are plotting to destablize the Union using some political jobbers whose anticedents are well known to Owerri people.
Nworgu while reacting to a report that the Union has been factionalized maintained that national executive of Olu Owerri which is a registered body remains united under the able leadership of Chief Martin Opara who he said has the total backing of the teeming members of the union.
He urged all the people of Owerri zone to be focused and united for the battle ahead and insisted that individual political aspirations of members remain isolated from the position of the union.
He commended the President General for his steadfastness and commitment, in the face of challenges and urged the people of Owerri zone to rally round the association which has remained a strong voice of the zone, over the years.
They advised Owerri politicians sowing seeds of discord in the Union to retrace their steps as Olu Owerri won’t hesitate to unmask those behind any attempt to cause crisis in the zone and place them where they belong.
He berated the Hope Uzodinma led government for failure in all ramifications, saying that the Uzodinma era will remain indelible as a period of locust.
