Imo Transformation Agenda powered by Ehime Mbano born United States of America based Attorney Charles Chibuike Onyirimba in collaboration with the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has embarked on a sensitization campaign aimed at educating and enlightening the people on the need to take the ongoing voter registration and revalidation exercise seriously bearing in mind that the PVC is not only their voice but empowers them to decide who to give their mandate.
Attorney Charles Onyirimba who is said to have through his foundation exhibited his passion and commitment to the welfare of the people especially the women, youths and less privileged expressed concern about the level of voter apathy in the State urged the people not to be discouraged pointing out that better and more fruitful days are ahead.
Speaking through his woman Leader, Hon. Favour Nwelue, he urged the people to go out and register enmass as not doing so will amount to depriving themselves of the opportunity to exercise their franchise which is their constitutional rights as Nigerian Citizens.
According to him, “your vote is your voice and power to decide who will exercise your collective mandate. It is not enough to sit on the fence and complain endlessly about bad governance without making effort to change the narrative by ensuring that square pegs are put into square holes.
“Democracy is a game of numbers. It is also all about making wise choices. But you cannot do this or participate if you don’t have PVC which is the deciding factor in the process of effecting positive changes in a democracy.
Onyirimba, a renowned philanthropist who is passionate about the human capital and socio-economic development of the people is said to have offered many scholarships, organized skill acquisition programmes in addition to several people-oriented empowerment programs is an advocate of good, governance that is hinged on quality service delivery”.
