The first Lady of Ondo State and a daughter of Emeabiam in Owerri West LGA, Imo State, Her Excellency, Chief Betty Anyanwu- Akeredolu, Ada Owerri 1 and Ada Emeabiam 2 on Tuesday 28th December, 2021, at her home town Emeabiam appreciated Imo journalists for their partnership and support in all her programmes and activities while wishing them a merry Christmas and a prosperous New year.
She thanked Imo journalists for finding time to come during this festive period despite their busy schedules and promised that the NDDC assisted Emeabiam Road construction will take off fully in January.
Reacting, the Publisher of Nigeria Newspoint Newspaper, Elder Lambert Ojukwu, on behalf of his organisation wished her Excellency a happy Christmas and New year. He also appreciated the palliative work done on Emeabiam Road to make it passable and the awareness she is creating on cancer all over the Nation. He described Her Excellency as a good example of what a mother and a first Lady should be, praying that God continues to shelter her and her family.
The Chairman of Imo Newspaper Publishers Association,INPA and Publisher of Frontline Newspaper, Madam Shirley Munonye commended the easy going nature of her Excellency who she described as a woman of the people, exceptional in character and in discharge of duties and who never allowed her position to separate her from the people. She added that the next award to be given would be the most Accessible First Lady.
