The leadership of Imo State House of Assembly, led by the Speaker, Rt Hon. Barr. Kennedy Chidozie Ibeh, has shown its comitment to redefining parliamentary activities and bringing about quality legislative landmarks by organizing a two day Legislative Training for the 27 Honorable Members of the Imo State House of Assembly and Senior Staff of the Assembly.
The event tittled” Responsive Budgeting in a Financial Legislative Autonomy Regime”, is billed to hold between 13th and 14th Dec, 2021.
The high powered training which will be manned by international renowned organization-Centre For Legislative Advancement and Support, will properly equip members and key members of Staff for enhanced legislative activites.
The seminar packaged by the Speaker, is set for a new beginning in carrying out legislative functions in line with international best practices and democratic principles.
It will be recalled that the last time such training/seminar was carried out for members and key staff of Imo State House of Assembly was about 10 years ago during the leadership of Rt. Hon. Goodluck Opia and Rt. Hon. Benjamin Uwajumogu.
But the cerebral incumbent Speaker, Rt. Hon. Barr. Kennedy Ibeh in synergy with the leadership of the House has by this demonstrated strong dedication to returning IMHA to what it should be.
The event billed to Hold at Imo Concorde Hotel is a clear indication of the partnership of the Assembly to revive Government owned institutions and support the pragmatic leadership of an astute Parliamentarian, a Sentor of the Federal Republic and the Executive Governor of Imo State, Dist. Senator Hope Odidika Uzodinma who is also committed to reviving and restoring the pride of Imo State.
